This unique tourism idea of Farmstay Village was originally inspired by the success of Phong Nha Farmstay. In 2010, Australian man Ben and his Vietnamese wife Bich and her brothers Thuan and Thuat built and opened Phong Nha Farmstay. At that time, foreign tourists were yet to discover Quang Binh Province with its long beaches, tall sand dunes, scenic farmland, epic jungle and magnificent caves. Actually, at this time, the caves were only just being discovered and explored
Following the initial success of the enterprise, the Farmstay Village team decided that other locals should be encouraged to create small businesses to supplement their incomes, provide an increasing amount of tourists to the Farmstay Village and to enjoy the Farmstay experience without ruining the great vibe that was already well established at Phong Nha Farmstay.
The idea is a unique and ever-evolving process with sustainable tourism at the core, with more and more local people benefiting from the new influx of tourism to the area. The strategy is for guests to be able to stay in rural Vietnam with the locals in comfort, and have the expertise of the Phong Nha Farmstay’s experience at their disposal to make the planning of their trip a breeze. Information is gold, and below you will find more information on the businesses that currently make up the Farmstay Village.
