Newly opened in April 2017, our goal is to offer a relaxing, chilled out and comfortable home from which you can explore Phong Nha. On offer is dorm beds with brand new comfy mattresses and bedding topped with fluffy, snuggly blankets. Shambalaa is really clean, brightly decorated and has beautiful Angkor Wat apsara inspired bathrooms with powerful hot showers. Shambalaa is the perfect place to come back to and chill out after an epic day of exploring.

Shambalaa hostel offers free tea and coffee all day for our guests (tea is the cure for everything!) and free water refills. There is a lounge area downstairs with lots of pillows, so you can take a nap, chill out or write your journals, for those quiet times you might need amongst all the adventure and fun. There is also a beautiful covered rooftop terrace with stunning views across the mountainous landscape, and there is also free bicycles available for you to get outside explore it.

Shambalaa works side by side with the well-known Easy Tiger Hostel, which is located just 150 meters away on the opposite side of the road. Shambalaa guests have free open access to all of the facilities at Easy Tiger Hostel, including their swimming pool and sun loungers, table tennis, pool table, foosball tables, the hammock house and mini gym. Easy Tiger’s Jungle Bar has live music almost every night and the restaurant offers delicious Western food with huge portions.

120,000 VND per night includes comfy, large bed with fluffy blankets, hot showers, free towel, lockers and padlocks, free bicycles, all day free tea and coffee and free beer from 6pm – 7pm. There is a storage area to store your luggage and communal showers to use after check-out.
